Papers of Ira Steward of Boston, Massachusetts, a leader in the Machinists' and Blacksmiths' International Union and writer on labor issues. The collection consists of manuscripts for "The Political Economy of Eight Hours," and "Freedom and Wealth," typewritten copies of articles by Steward on labor-oriented subjects, the constitution of the Philadelphia Eight Hour League, and letters to or from F. A. Sorge, Thomas Phillips, and Mrs. Steward.
